Why your airless sprayer does not pump with enough pressure?

This is one of the most annoying problems you’ll occasionally experience with airless sprayers; you turn the sprayer on, everything seems OK, but it won’t pump enough as it usually does.

First, you must thin the material sufficiently and use the proper tip for the application. And check out step by step as below;

Pressure Setting

Try increasing the pressure settings and see if it resolves the issue. you might’ve just forgot it.

Filter

Airless sprayers have a filter system, a suction filter, a pump filter, and a gun filter, check to see if the filter in the system is clogged as if the filter is still blocked after cleaning, the filter need to be removed and replaced.
*All the filters need to be cleaned and replaced regularly.

TIPS

If any solid particle enters the pump, Once the tip is clogged, reverse it from the guard and try to spray it out 
If the tip is damaged or worn, it cannot be cleaned; it should be replaced with a new one.

Prime/Spray valve

If the valve is not closing completely, some paint may escape through the prime hose, and the sprayer pumps paint in the other direction.This causes the machine to work unnecessarily and can not pump the material forward.

This generates a loss of control when pumping forward. So it’s essential to make sure the valve is working correctly.
If there is any problem with the valve, the solution is to dismantle, clean it, or replace it with a new one if it’s damaged.

Fluid Pump section

Pressurize the sprayer and let it sit. If it keeps cycling meanwhile you’re not spraying, then it losing pressure in the fluid section and needs to be checked. There are many components in the fluid pump can cause the problem. Use a simple method to confirm which part is faulty.

1. After the pump is pressurized, turn the pressure regulator to 0(Min.) and turn off the power.

2. Observe the pressure gauge, if the pressure drops slowly from 227bar to about 100bar and stopped, it means that the pump piston valve(#17 Ball+#11 seat) cannot be sealed.

3. If the pressure continues to drop to 0, it means that the inlet ball valve(#8 Ball+#7 Seat) is not sealed

4. In any case, you need to disassemble the fluid pump, in addition to check the inlet/outlet valve, you also need to carefully check the V-packing(#14&15+#24&25), cylinder(#20) and other components, clean it, or replace it with a new one if it’s worn.

Suction hose

You should also check the suction hose. If the suction hose has a hole in it or is not tightly secured to pump, it may suck air in while trying to pumping the material. This can lead to the pump not pressurizing well.
